Life Lately – New York Trip

Our quick trip to New York was just lovely.
Cold, but absolutely what I needed.
We ate, drank, ate some more and even did a couple things we’ve never done together like going to the Whitney Museum and walking the Brooklyn Bridge.
The folks at the Wythe spoiled us and I honestly couldn’t talk anymore highly of their service, gorgeous accommodations and the awesome little corner it occupies.
Our Blue Hill dinner was one for the books. We were greeted and possibly recognized, which whatever, I’ll take it! Our server was so funny and sweet and the meal and wine pairing should really go without saying. Apparently, I held my own – talked a bunch! – and I certainly felt the hangover the next morning.
Between sleeping in til 8am and really going where the wind took us, it was fun to jump on the subway – walk the familiar streets from our wedding weekend and to take in our favorite spots.
This city will always be a special place for me.
For us.
And maybe even one day for Hudson.

Brooklyn:
Wythe Hotel (stay, eat and drink. place is a dream)

Bakeri (awesome sweets – coconut macaroons!)
The Counting Room (cocktails)
Catbird (gifts/jewelry)

Manhattan:
The Butcher’s Daughter
Blue Hill
Whitney Museum of American Art
The Standard Grill
