Insta St. Lucia

St. Lucia via my iPhone.
We stayed at Sugar Beach a Viceroy Resort – which was a total dream. From our bungalow, to the service to their majestic location. Highly recommend!
Also, a lot of firsts this trip! First time paddle boarding, getting a real massage, climbing 198 flights of stairs!, trying goat, drinking out of a coconut and well, the big one – a big trip with out our babe.

Most of our trip we stayed on property but we did explore two days – Wednesday we went to Soufrière (stopped at the Botanical Gardens, a couple waterfalls and ate lunch at Petite Peak.) Nick, our driver, was a total treat and said he knew 80% of the people there.

Thursday we got up early and hiked Gros Piton. Larry, our guide, was a super cool dude (a mere 21 and he tackled that mountain as if it was a hopskotch!) We made it up and back under 4 hours, which is said to be really good 🙂 We came back to our room to beer, a coconut and flowers on our deck – perfect way to relax. The bamboo massage I got after sealed the deal. I’m convinced that’s why I’m not in utter pain from being sore.

Saturday night, our last night, we took the sunset cruise which was so magical. The sunset was gorgeous, the island views gave it a run for it’s money, but the sea breeze and rum punch and a view of this guy – my happy place. Dinner followed and we were right on the beach. We got a bottle of wine and took our evening slow. We were in no rush and really just taking in our last night alone together.

I already knew I was a “sunflower” – LOVE the rays – but I found out I have a love for plantain chips and banana daquiries. SO good.
