this post is sponsored by Pottery Barn but the words and opinions are my own.
We moved into our new home in February and brought just about everything with us. Like I encourage clients, I wanted to live in the space, get a feel for what works and doesn’t work and then re-evaluate what our furnishings and furniture needs are.
So with all of that being said – our old living room furniture just didn’t fit. It was a lovely Pottery Barn couch and ottoman but it did not go with the flow of this home. There wasn’t an easy way to walk into the living and sit down.
Thankfully our friends at Pottery Barn came to the rescue and worked with us on a new living room layout.
Here is the BEFORE:

We opted for their Pottery Barn Comfort Square Arm Bumper Sectional, so we could still have a spot to lay and get comfy for movie nights, but still have plenty of seating. We went with their performance tweed ecru and it’s a perfect off white (like most of our house) and really brightens the space up. I haven’t had any issues with the fabric, but I am a little more sensitive to how the boys use the couch – we have a new no food rule! Other than that everything is super kid friendly… the two leather chairs are perfect for the kids and make for flexible seating. The light oak coffee table is just the right size for us to walk around and provides additional kid storage – win!
And then the dark side table just breaks it all up. I love the simple shape and the ability to add a basket or stack books in it to give it a lived in feel.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. It is functional, practical and perfect for all our family living room hangs. Our last Pottery Barn set was almost 8 years old and was holding up just fine so I can’t wait to enjoy these pieces for many years to come.
If you have any questions on these pieces or would like some recommendations leave me a comment or send me a DM on instagram! Happy to help!
