The fact you can’t help but stare at your sleeping baby. 
Watching them enjoy things you do – like dipping your toes in the ocean! Priceless.
The moment when they roll over for the very first time. Yes, that really happened.
When they let you get through an entire meal without a meltdown. WIN!
The face you make back when they are giving you the biggest grin. (Truth: you look ridiculous)
To buy all these adorable summer clothes, but end up keeping him in a simple onesie or heck just a diaper. 
2 hour naps are perfect but 3+ hour naps you just want your kid to get up already!
Just when you feel good about a routine the little one throws a curve ball. 
Excepting the fact that no matter how many baths he’s had, or the % of breastmilk vs. formula he’s consumed you still are the perfect mother for him.

The sweet sound of your babe downing his bottle – little chugger!
That moment when you go and get him first thing in the morning. Best feeling ever. 
Not wanting to go up in diaper size since you just ordered a massive box of the same size 2 
Sometimes feeling bad about leaving all the extra baggage in the car. He’s fine with a pacifier, blanket and rattle. Right?
Now I get why those car shades are everywhere. #mustget
When you get home from work and you catch baby and daddy in a super sweet moment. Melt. 
Alternating between 2 pajamas because you only have 2 that fit. #babylaundryonrepeat
Stalking the baby monitor at work when it should* be nap time. 
Baby powder just isn’t for bums! It’s for rolls and neck lines too. Florida humidity isn’t Hudson’s friend. Err, nor mine for that matter. 
That one person in the restaurant that has NO idea just how loud they are. We all don’t need to hear your stories, even my sleeping baby. Thanks.

He or she? Really?! Clearly a he.

The feeling you’ve known them forever and can communicate without saying a word.

Babies wearing shoes are the cutest thing. Especially leather loafers. 

Fitting into your old jeans is such an amazing feeling. Doing it the healthy way and not by a certain time frame is even better. Outfit posts are coming back, ya’ll! 

I think I hear him on the monitor all the time. Even when he’s not in his room. 
Having to sneeze when you need to pee. Not a good mix. 
Every morning he looks that much bigger and older. Crazy. 
Acting like a fool to hear that little giggle one. more. time. 
When they have your finger and you literally can’t move. 
Being those parents who bring their baby to a non-smoking bar at 10pm at night. #lifegoeson #teachthemyoung
Feel like you’re Wonder Woman when you finally get a good amount of breast milk in the freezer. Heck yes!
The fear of clipping their nails is out the window. Filing everyday isn’t doing it. 
Witching hour(s) are a total thing. Hudson’s is from 5-9. Yayyyy!
Not getting mad when your baby wants to chat at 4am because his smiling face is too darn cute. 
When you bounce all the time – even when you’re not holding your kid.

Your kid is indeed the cutest and you will post umpteen thousands photos of him. 

You want to hoard all your babies belongings. Even those pants he never wore since he’s growing so fast. 
You have a baby on board but you still don’t understand the “baby on board” car signs. 
Constantly thinking about new possible inventions – whether for parents or babies. I mean a rocking car seat when the car is stopped is brilliant! 
The smell of breastmilk will permanently live in your nose. 
Breastmilk is liquid gold. The slightest spill will drive you to tears or completely piss you off. 
You thought you could multitask before? Try baking strawberry muffins while bouncing a car seat on one arm and supporting it with one leg. Or pump one while you breastfeed the other. #truestories 
Baby laundry is never ever done. 
Seeing your husband’s features in your baby will make your heart melt but noticing your features in him is completely and utterly surreal. 
Your husband gets even more attractive. 
Father of the Bride pt 2 will make you ball your eyes out. “Doctor, these women are my life.” #quewaterworks 
Your camera roll went from 1,500 photos to 8,000 in just two months. 
Even though you are not an expert or fully know what you are doing – you are still the best to soothe, comfort and protect your little one. Dad too. 
Luxuries now include showers, painting your nails, pinning, drafting blog posts and cleaning house. Who would have thought? #momlife 
The stovetop vent makes an amazing white noise machine. 
You’ll watch the baby monitor on your iPad as if it was a new episode of House of Cards. Eyes glued.

1 // Motherly Musings Posts

I’ve been referencing a lot of blog posts about Hudson to try to remember certain things – like habits, milestones, firsts etc. I ended up reading a bunch of my Motherly Musings posts which still ring true and actually left me laughing.

Even though it’s their playroom, it still has to look kinda-sorta nice(ish)
Kisses, even if they have boogers/spit/food all over their face, are always always welcome.
To catch yourself just staring at them, in complete utter amazement.
Sleeping baby photos are the best.

2 // Unfollowing

During maternity leave, I noticed a slight decline in engagement and followers. Part of me wants to frown and the other part, well gets it. It’s not all about fashion anymore and if that’s what you want then yeah, probably other accounts to follow. And just like the caption is to this sketch – I gotta do a IG clean out as well… so many are getting lost in the shuffle.

3 // Down to Earth

With designing a new house (again) from top to bottom this time, home decor like this and generally “down to earth” vibes is really what I’m going for.

4 // July To-Do List

I usually spot these in my feed and I’ll stop the scroll. Maybe not entire list motivates me, but usually a few do. It’s a nice reminder to set monthly goals. I can check one thing off the list – I did plan a girls night – can’t wait!

5 // Katherine Power on Pinterest

She has amazing style – no doubt – but she’s been pinning a ton of interiors and architecture lately that has me swooning. Who do you follow on Pinterest that is a must?!
