Meet Wells August

our sweet baby Wells is here and we’re all completely over the moon.

Wells August Gernert | 7lbs 13oz, 20.5 inches | December 19, 2021 at 6:05pm

It’s the craziest thing how your heart can grow in an instant and you have this innate ability to love three little humans equally. I’m counting every lucky star and cherishing this time at home and away from work while we settle in as a family of 5 over the holidays and New Year. With this being our last babe, I want to soak up every bit of it.

Welcome to the world sweet Wells! You have completed my life in so many ways my precious little man. Mama loves you.

8 Years With You

you know, when you know you know, and even if that “when” wasn’t timely or perfect or ready.

But here we are, 8 years down in a blink of an eye and I love you more now than I did then. With probably one of our more difficult years behind us with navigating a pandemic, having our third boy and my career shift you continue to be my center. You are my reason.

Today and everyday I love you something serious and appreciate you more than I will ever be able to fully express. Thank you for fulfilling my every dream.

Happy anniversary my love.

I didn’t do much shopping during this pregnancy and now with my final TWO days in sight, I’m eager to do a full closet refresh. And if it happened to turn into all Mango and Madewell, I’d be one happy camper.

Mango has the classic shapes, colors and styles that feel easily elevated and perfect for when I get back to work…

Madewell has always been a go-to from denim, tees and their cozy MWL line…

Of course the talented April Tomlin helped design it and that’s probably why I love every square inch… but this working pantry might be my favorite. The two tone visual with dark counters just steals the show.

2 // IG Cookie Reel

I swear they are listening when I talk about my love for gingerbread cookies because now I’m getting spammed with so many cute holiday cookie photos… they are almost too pretty to eat. Almost.

3 // New Year Mantra

it’s never too late. as long as you are here and willing, anything is literally possible and I have high hopes and aspirations for 2022 and I can’t wait to embark on them all.

enough said. Maybe I’ll do a bit more baking on this maternity leave – these sound delicious!

I’ve been trying to get as much wrapping done as I can before this babe arrives. With 10 days left for Christmas I feel like it’s a mad dash, so I want to keep the wrapping simple and elegant. This is 37

I must say – 36 was good. Like really good.

But here I am making my 37th trip around the sun, over 38 weeks pregnant with our 3rd healthy baby boy.

It’s been a year of firsts as I celebrated one year of WYC Designs, took long distance client trips and still managed to escape and indulge a couple times in the TN mountains with my favorite guy.

I’m so excited to kick off this birthday with a new baby which will make this an extra special Christmas. I’ve got matching pajamas for the boys ready!

To 37, I have a feeling you might be my best year yet.
