Weekend Wants

a super cozy mix with sprinkles of holiday!

5 Things

1 // Golden Dawn Curb Bracelet

When one of your favorite jewelers makes a beautiful piece for a good cause. Living for Everything is a nonprofit that supports families of pediatric cancer patients. They make comfort kits and focus on the caregivers to provide what they can to spark joy in one of life’s hardest circumstance. For each bracelet sold $500 will be donated to Living For Everything.

2 // A Sunnies Round Up

Y’all ask me on the regular – which is fair because I do have my fair share of sunglasses. Here are some of my absolute favorites – that range from Amazon finds, to fun Madewell specs and to classics like Ray Ban and Celine.

3 // A Love Affair with all things Navy

We used a little bit of navy (BM – French Beret) in our home so it’s really no surprise that I’ve been pinning and saving a lot of images with various shades of blue. Something so elevated about a great darker hue.

A few BLUE paints I’m loving – Farrow & Ball Hague Blue, Clare Paint Deep Dive, Portola Paints in The Navy

4 // Elevated High Tops

Everyone is all about the lug high top boot this fall/winter season, but in Florida they aren’t that practical and I’m leaning toward the more fancy, cool patterns and retro look of the high top.

5 // TIME

The one thing we can’t control and the one thing we just need to accept. Reflecting on how fast this year is flying by and trying not to stress about all things that come with a year coming to a close – birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, BABY!, work. Why rush it? 🙂

And just like that my favorite guy is 40

I fell for him hard around this time over ten whole years ago. I still can’t fully put into words how it all felt or why it happened the way it did but I can say without a doubt that I’ve never looked back from that moment on.

That he was it.

Fast forward and I still feel the same.

To some, 40 may be a big deal and maybe it is to him and he’s just not letting on but if there is anything I know, it’s that he gets better and better with age. He’s accomplished and done things in his 40 years that people only dream about and I watch him with tender eyes as I see him try to balance all of it.

From his dedication to work and his devotion to his family he has this super power. He’s got a way with me – always has.

Nick, the boys and I wish you the happiest of birthdays and we love you more than you’ll ever ever know.

Weekend Wants

a beautiful mix of neutrals and fall/entertaining essentials.

A Simple Thanksgiving Tablescape & Menu

I had the pleasure of shooting/styling the New General Thanksgiving catering menu and had so much fun doing it! At WYC Designs, it was important for me to keep these types of projects for creativity, collaboration and continued community involvement.

Per the New General way, simplicity is best and it really shows in the natural and minimal way the table can be set and all the way through the menu items served.

1 // Simple decor – snag local eucalyptus bunches from your grocery store and mini pumpkins. Order a few votive candles for ambiance.

2 // Place settings – a sprig of eucalyptus, simple plates and some cutlery that dress it up a bit. Don’t forget a beautiful napkin goes a long way.

3 // Menu items – vegan mac & cheese, a beautiful and colorful salad, veggie filled stuffing, sweet potato casserole and an apple crumble!

It’s more about the company and grateful full bellies than anything else!

You can order the New General Thanksgiving catering options soon on their website here. Keep checking!

5 Things

1 // The Colored French Tip

I’m digging it. Definitely a style I can’t do at home, so maybe on my next splurge on a gel mani.

2 // Closet Organization

Looking forward to transitioning into colder weather here soon – so I want to box up all my summery things and give space to fall clothes and soon non-maternity styles as we go into the new year! Gimme my jeans back. This new Zara home line is so beautiful and crazy affordable – from clothing protectors, foldable boxes, hooks.

3 // Gimme COOKIES

Pinning all the cinnamon and apple recipes I can find on Pinterest. But how good do these maple brown butter sugar cookies look?!

4 // Excuses

As the year starts to come to a close, don’t give in. I love this so much – doubt kills success more than failure ever will.

5 // Nordic Design

I’ve been drawn to more warmth and clean kitchens as of late. Darker stones and minimal decor. Maybe because my life has been so hectic the last month and these visually bring me a sense of calm. More on Pinterest.
