Florida Postcard

we snuck off to the beach last weekend and it was so good for my soul. It was great to smell the sea breeze and to watch my babies play and frolic in the sand and sun.

5 Things

a favorite post style – based on Pinterest traffic 🙂

1 // Checker board all day!

From my everyday Vans to this stunning kitchen backsplash. It’s a pattern that I just can’t quit! from: @verandamag

2 // @themisfithouse

A GA interior design house I’m loving lately. It’s got an Amber vibe, but it seems refreshing and not so contrived. It leans a bit moody and chalked with inspiration.

3 // New Walmart Eco Fashion

Anything @waityouneedthis wears, I immediately have to check it out. She’s partnered with Walmart on a couple occasions and I gave in. Granted, I ordered a few things online and it shipped quick. Plus, the prices are SO friendly. shop my picks:

4 // Join the list!

I’ve been working on cleaning up my email templates and plan to merge both Work Your Closet, WYC Designs and personal content all in one. It’ll be a nice place to see a lot of what I’ve been working on, exciting new launches and news. So sign up so you can hear all about it first.

5 // Power in WORDS

How powerful is this quote? Being in a position like that must come with pure bliss. Being able to BE no matter the outcome or mistake or mis-hap. As we all lose things and gain things, what a lovely perspective.

Weekend Wants

a mix of spring, subtle color and all things home.

Currently Coveting: Checkered Floors

I’ve been trying to implement checkered flooring into a project over the last year. It’s been something that has caught my eye every time I see it – whether it’s a true checkered board tiles, or painted wood flooring either way I love the classic and european feel of the pattern.

Variations of it with small 4×4 tiles or different colors has made it more fun and current in a refreshing way!

Here are a few of my favorite implementations – which is your favorite?

I use Lulu & Georgia for just about every project I have…

I have the Holden mirror in our boys’ bath and their arched mirror in our powder! If you were looking at a Lulu & Georgia now’s the time! Caveat – COVID delays are still very real and I do have a lot of products from L&G are the delayed for clients, but as long as you are okay with the estimated restock or ship date, then totally go for it!

2 // Chad Mellon – One to Follow

I’ve been loving all of his captures lately – most of them getting well deserved recognition! If you love interiors, he’s one to follow. He only has 20k followers and I swear should have 10x that.

3 // Authenticity

Speaks volumes and truth. As I continue to push toward a path of unknown, I do it with an open and honest heart.

4 // Pillow Talk

A stack of textiles from Jolie Marche – what’s your favorite?
