Weekend Wants

more fall feels because i can’t get enough.

Florida Sweater Weather

Even though I’m always cold – like always cold – Florida still brings the heat much later than most states.

I’d be kidding if I haven’t started slowly switching some decor things out for Fall because I just can’t help it. I love the smell of spice and pumpkin and all warm color tones it brings! Hudson was all fired up to add spooky spiders everywhere.

But even though we can pretend it’s Fall with decor, it’s not so easy with fashion – but this new sweater from Ascot & Hart is perfect – it’s a knit so there’s ventilation, and the colors are fun. This outfit is pretty true to me on days when I don’t think too hard about what I’m wearing (which is usually most days).

5 Things

1 // Little Market Store

When I attended the LA Create & Cultivate I stopped by the Little Market booth because it was sooo cute. They truly curate beautiful, ethically made products from around the world. No surprise that their new brand spankin’ new store front is adorable, too. When you can shop and feel good – it’s a power combo.

2 // Sprouted Kitchen

I might be really late to game on this one but with my appetite back, accounts like these really stop me in my tracks. Mainly because I’m always hungry and also because I admit, I’m not the best cook.

3 // Kiddo Organization

The dresser in the closet is brilliant. I love the open shelves with bins and super cute wallpaper. With companies like Chasing Paper, they could make a small room so much cooler with personality. Plus more room for FUN things in their rooms like tee pees and book cases. photo by: vivian johnson

4 // YOU

really are the greatest project you will ever work on. The best work we can do is on and for ourselves – so in turn we can better at being everything else.

5 // Pillow Talk

In all seriousness, I’m on the hunt for new pillows for my bed. We’ve had the same pillows for 4 years and they aren’t working for me. I need some legit suggestions please – sleep, while I can they say – well, I say I need new pillows.

My Kind of Fall Classics

October is almost here and between my husband’s birthday and my son’s love for Halloween it’s a pretty exciting month for us.

We’ve already put out Halloween decor and I’ve sprinkled some pinecones, fall flowers and gingerbread/pumpkin candles have been lit. No matter the season though, I’m all about comfort and this look is just that – comfortable and cozy. Stretchy J Brand jeans from Amazon Fashion are still rocking and paired with a classic white sneaker and a cozy stripe knit with zipper detail from Abercrombie and Fitch is quite perfect.

NYFW Kate Spade Spring 2019 Runway Show

It was such an honor to be able to attend my second NYFW show for Kate Spade NY. I’ve built a really great friendship with the folks over there and I truly appreciate all the hard work they put into not just building a loyal social following, but for always trying to do better with every coming season.

I left the Spring 2019 show with mental notes on their block heel sandals, floral dresses, stunning scarfs, statement rings and simple and sophisticated cross-body bags. And I think releasing a “capsule” of their 2019 Spring Collection NOW was brilliant since most of America is still experiencing summer in a real hot way.

It was definitely more intimate than last year’s presentation which made me feel super special. They also did a great job of honoring Mrs. Kate Spade – from leaving quotes on our seats to the glitter scattered everywhere – you can tell that she was very much still the inspiration.

Anyway – congrats to everyone at Kate Spade NY, including Nicola Glass – who shined!
