5 Things

1 // THIS Podcast on all things Insta

The hard truth my friends! This was a great listen. I’m having a hard time posting JUST outfit photos even though that’s clearly what people want to see. They don’t care that much about coffee shops, travel destinations, cool kitchens or even my kid at times. So, what now? I might test it out and share more outfits with only one or two a week being something else. WISH ME LUCK. The Instagram stats don’t lie, but I kindly don’t want to listen. Anyone else with this love/hate relationship right now!?

2 // Hudson the Polar Bear

The newest edition to the Cuddle+Kind fam! Safe to say, I have to buy him now. Born January 12th, his favorite quote is “You can move mountains.” And with a name like that!? Plus, he feeds 10 kids in need. This might surely turn into a Christmas tradition.

3 // The Marlee Jean

Denim. It’s a weakness. Anyone else? I’ll buy them til I don’t have any room in my closet, and then I’ll give some away that I never wear to make room for more. It’s a vicious cycle, but I’m willing to play. JEANS are life.

4 // Wear Lively Maternity

I’m so excited to meet my Lively fam this week in NYC, but I’m even more excited for their recent maternity launch! Their maternity bras/body suits look absolutely amazing. I remember maternity bras were a hard find for me, so hopefully (when we have eventually have babe #2) these come in handy. Literally 😉

5 // Martha Stewart for Home Depot Hardware

Boxwood Avenue used these for her new kitchen and I’m obsessed! This is the stuff I’m living for these days at work – little gems like these. Guys, check the price tag, too. #swoonworthy

My New Cool Mom Outfit

Something about this whole look that makes me feel like a super woman. Maybe the coolness of the hat? Perfect fit of the jean? Or the fact these leather sneaks give me freedom to do whatever I want. I mean, chase a toddler around.

This hat was from Halloween 2013 in NYC when I was Mary Poppins (it was a Walmart find) that I still break out every Fall/Winter. Even though I may not feel all that young sometimes, this simple outfit helps! I’m a fun boy mom that is PUMPED to take her little Curious George trick or treating tomorrow! To be honest, I’m dying for candy.

What’s one thing that you wear that keeps you feeling young? SPILL.

How to Wear a Spring/Summer Jumper into Fall

You’ve all seen it – the jumper that I’ve been living in now for what? Months? Yeah…

Well just because the temps FINALLY started to dip this week, doesn’t mean that this hunter green gem can’t come out and play. It literally took me two seconds to come up with this combo and sometimes when you DON’T overthink something, it comes out way better? Ya know?

This jacket is part of the new A New Day brand at Target – I’m actually obsessed with the line. Unfortunately (or fortunately for my wallet?!) we don’t have a local Target that gets a ton of the WWW line, so I’m left to find other things…

SNAG this jacket ya’ll – it’s an awesome fit, has a hood and comes in a couple colors. And don’t forget the velvet loafers – they are COMF.

1 // Canyon Coffee

So they beat us to it. But I think they would be perfect mentors for when Nick and I are ready to take the plunge. Seriously the COOLEST coffee couple I’ve ever seen and I love their killer story. Link above.

2 // GMG Frye Boots

I never really was into the grungy lace up boots growing up – but I see they are making a comeback. BUT thanks to the lovely, always stylish Julia from Gal Meets Glam she designed the perfect chunky, high top boot in the prettiest shade of pink.

3 // Geronimo Balloons

You can’t help but to SMILE every time you see an installation. If only every building could be covered in magical balloons. Also, her captions are all over the map and get real.

4 // The Perfect Fall Manicure

I love a good clean mani – and this one has some fall sparkle in just the right places. Thinking I might do something similar for our trip to NYC next week! What’s your fall go-to?

5 // Mexico Getaway

We’re trying to finalize our January trip and I think we’ve settled on Mexico! Either the Viceroy Riviera Maya OR Hotel San Cristobàl in Baja! Have you been to either one of them? What would your vote be? We love Viceroy, but San Cristobàl is winning me over with their aesthetic.

37th Year

You amaze me every single day with your uncanny ability to turn everyday moments into something more meaningful. Every breakfast you make, every late call you take, every playlist you make I know is intertwined with love, passion, determination and thoughtfulness.

We’re going on 6 years and one thing hasn’t changed… you have a way with me.

YOU are everything and more to Hudson and I and we hope to make your 37th year one for the books!

To the man that has changed my world and then some, happy birthday my love!

“There’s no life, without love they say
None worth having anyway, you’re a mystery to me some days
But that’s what keeps me sane, the heart that yearns is always young, but you can’t love just anyone, it’s been a while since 30, but I still feel the same.”
