DIY – Facial Skin Tightener

Saw this in my Fab Fit Fun email blast.
Thought heck.. I have those things. I’ve heard so much about Botox lately, I’ll stick to an easy at home facial.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
Juice of one lemon

Directions:
In a small bowl, combine the yogurt and lemon juice and stir until smooth. Apply to your cleansed face and neck. Allow it to dry for 20 to 30 minutes. Leave it on until you feel the skin tighten or up to one hour. When ready, rinse with tepid water followed by a cold rinse.

This gently exfoliating treatment gives you lifted and firm-looking skin instantly. Lemons slough away dead skin and Greek yogurt’s antibacterial properties prevent skin breakouts. Lactic acid in the yogurt shrinks pores, leaving you with more youthful-looking skin. This skin tightener can be done two to three times a week or whenever your skin needs a lift.

I definitely felt it dry and tighten. Overall I would say it worked great and I promise I didn’t have any breakouts the following day 🙂

  1. Wow! I love the mix of yogurt with lemons. I'm definitely going to try that out, though I'm a bit curious if it'll sting because of the lemon juice. Do you think I can add some oats to that and make it a facial scrub, so that I get the tightening effects with exfoliation? Hmmm. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing!
